Frequently asked Questions

Am I too old to start Pole or Aerial?

Absolutely not, The industry has amazing athletes and dancers well into their 70s

Do I need to be strong and fit to start?

Absolutely not, the classes are designed to build strength and fitness levels, Size does not matter either.

Are under 18s allowed?

Yes, We have allocated classes for under 18s

What should I wear?

Wear what you feel comfortable in, gym shorts are a good option. This also depends on the equipment and level of training. For example in pole we use skin contact to grip to the pole so the more advanced the tricks the more skin contact is needed.

Do I need heels?

No of course not, there are benefits to dancing in heels such as enhancing dancer lines, improving posture, they offer additional leverage for certain movements and is essentially adding weights to your training. But they are not essential to learning and training.

What not to wear?

For your own safety please do not use any type of moisturiser on your body before class as this will effect your grip and make the equipment slippery which will cause injury to yourself and others

For your own safety please remove any jewellery before class including rings

What should I bring to class?

Pack yourself a bottle of water and bring both a pair of leggings and shorts depending on your class. A pair of socks is a good idea. Yoga mats are available in the studio but you're welcome to bring your own
